Black Speculative Arts Movement (BSaM)

Black Speculative Art Movement (BsaM)
… the purpose: to control/shape our own images, how we define ourselves through art & media, project our higher selves while rejecting stereotypes.

BSaM is a “continuation of the historical behavior within the Veil to engage the ideas of Dubois, Wright, Everett and others to pierce the Color Line, the Color Curtain, and understand the Digital Divide in the face of the challenges of the 21st century.”

BSaM conventions are held at colleges, universities and venues in the US and abroad. In 2016 events were held in St. Louis. Philly, Toronto and more. In 2017 BsaM will be expanding touching down in cities from Oakland to Trinadad.
